The sequcence similarities between CovidCOVID19 (SERS-CoV2)and SERS -CoV at Whole genome (87%),Spike Glycoprotein (83%) and Receptor Binding Domain (75%).  Both viruses are believe to use ACE2 as their receptor, even though the six amino acids at the receptor binding domain differs as a result of mutations. The covid19 has the capability to easily mutate while in the host of a patient making it more crafty to survive.


Spike glycoprotein which is responsible for binding to host receptor for entering into cell, will serve as suitable target for drug and vaccine design...
