Rolls-Royce adds another layer of incredible luxury to Wraith coupe

With the latest Phantom setting the standard for luxury cars, you might think the remainder of Rolls-Royce's range is due an upgrade. However, instead of a mild facelift, Rolls has given us this – the Wraith Luminary Collection.

A super-limited, 55-car model run ensures exclusivity, while a bespoke paint job and incredibly detailed interior are like nothing else on the market.

The 'Luminary' name comes from the car's headliner, which is fitted with 1,340 fibre-obtic lights to simulate a starry sky. That's a feature that's been around on Rollers for a while now, but new for this Wraith is the addition of shooting stars to the headlining.

The door cards are finished in seemingly sturdy Tudor Oak, but this is another world first as it's backlit to mimic the trail of a shooting star.

Rolls-Royce has painted the Wraith Luminary Collection in a bespoke 'Sunburst Grey' colour which it says is 'inspired by the heady shade of the golden hour's sunrays.' What that really means is that it's a dusky grey which lights up with a copper shade in the sunshine.

Underneath the bespoke styling details lies the same powertrain as the rest of the Wraith range – a 6.6-litre V12 engine with well in excess of 600bhp. It's capable of impressive – and whisper-quiet – performance.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection is priced at £295,000 and limited to just 55 models worldwide.
